Book proof

The Blurb’ proof  book’ of volume 1 of my WaterWomen book arrived. While it looks pretty cool, I am also glad that I went ahead and ordered just one copy so that I could look at a ‘hard’ copy of the book, and fix mistakes, and there are plenty. On my end, I somehow messed up the index page numbering something terrible. Also, I did not include a short introduction, which it definitely needs. Quite a few of the images are located too close to the bottom of each page.  Not sure whose fault that is. I thought I had centered each image and then nudged it up about ten to fifteen spaces.  I will just need to check this page by page.  Also several of the photos have a very objectionable greenish tint to them. Again, I am not sure what went wrong here.  I converted each image used to gray-scale and then to a warmish duotone, and then to RGB, so theoretical, they should all look the same. I paid for the more expensive paper option they offer, but I am not really impressed with the paper. On top of that, for my taste, the paper is too white, I would like it just a little warmer, but I don’t think that option is available. More later……
